Meet Matt
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. I also served 10 years in the military, an experience that continues to shape the way I understand resilience, responsibility, and the weight many people quietly carry.
Throughout my career, I have worked in private practice helping individuals and families navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, anger, and relationship challenges. I also served with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I supported veterans and their families as they worked through PTSD and the complexities of life after service.
My clinical work includes depression, anxiety, trauma, family systems, PTSD, anger management, grief, stress management, and relationship counseling. Whether the struggle feels recent or rooted in experiences from years ago, we will work together to understand what is happening beneath the surface and develop practical, realistic steps forward.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in clarity. Meaningful change begins with understanding. When you better understand your patterns, triggers, and past experiences, you gain perspective. With perspective comes choice, and with choice comes the ability to respond differently and move forward with greater confidence.
My goal is to build a professional relationship rooted in trust so you know you are heard, respected, and not alone in the process.
Outside the office, I am active in my local church and enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog, especially near the water. I love to cook and am often experimenting with new recipes and getting creative in the kitchen. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to work with you. Growth requires courage, but you do not have to do it by yourself.
